Shout, Shout, Let it all out

Yes, I’ve a certain song in my head at the moment, and thanks to the title, maybe I can pass it on to you now. *devilish smile*

Because of certain circumstances, I’m sort of blogging on the run these days (no, I haven’t killed anyone…or maimed them in any way…just things are a bit hectic ;P) It doesn’t help that many of my blogging ideas come when I’m nowhere near a computer or my blogging app (and yes, I’ve tried pencil/paper…can’t write fast enough to keep up with my brain LOL). Okay, enough complaining for the moment. Just wanted to give a shout out to some SITS Girls*:

  • Hi Laura from Storybook Reality! I must have been lost in a storybook reality of my own to initially skip this blog. Yo, people of the internet…visit this lady – she has a very forgiving sense of humor. 😀
  • Hi Antoinette of DE Divah Deals ! Wow…you’re looking good there…I want some of that energy *steals secrets of youth when you turn away* ;D
  • A salute to Rheanna of CammoStyle Love! I’m reminded of that phrase “Keep Calm and Carry On” reading this blog
  • Hi Joy at Kentucky Homemakers! Careful visiting this blog, you’re apt to get hungry – holy sweetness! *jumps up and down to work off the excitement and virtual calories gained*
  • Hi Janette at The Johanson Journey! I’m partial to the alliteration here and not just because it reminds me of a hot looking football player whom I wish I’d run into but keep missing by sometimes minutes. Beware people…there’s cuteness on this site — uber-cute kids and I’m having the urge to bottle energy again.
  • Hi Sara at The Infollector! Great title to this artistic site. *reminds self to visit often to boost creativity*
  • Hi Lisa at The Domestic Life Stylist! Oh flip, someone’s making me hungry again *eats my way through the blog* Sorry about the mess…just got too excited there eying the deliciousness. >.<
  • Hi Twin…erm I mean Hi Jennifer at After The Chapel! The blog name is reminding me of that conversation in Bridemaids between Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig about Maya paving the way and being urged to report back what being married is really like.
  • And, Hi Lisa at Sweetie’s Freebies! Feeding my need for treats and free stuff, too? Yes, please.

Whew. I’m exhausted after that journey, in spite of all that energy I tried to swipe. Guess it’s time for a coffee break. See y’all in the blogosphere, folks.

*I think about old-fashioned call girls when I type or even think “SITS Girls”. Isn’t that weird where the mind can go sometimes?!? Ha-ha.
**Edited to correct my accidental omitting of a shout-out. 🙂

FM5 (or 5 for Fun Monday)

I’m actually party-crashing in this Fun Monday, for after reading at my blog friend, Nikki, I see that “newcomer” Nekked Lizard is hosting. How could I resist playing with Swampy’s cousins, even at this late stage? (Wow, how the Lizards’ site has grown in a year!)

Anyway, NL asks:
FIVE PICTURES – FIVE WORDS PER PICTURE.
Any 5 (FIVE) pictures, any subject, and any 5 (FIVE) words to describe and/or explain each picture.

I’ve decided to “dumpster dive” through past images posted on this blog. Let’s hope I’ve grabbed some fascinating ones.

First up… From post “Feast!“:
Feast
Snickers turkey dude haunts me.

#2. From post “It’s a celebration!“:

People love my yummy cake
(many web hits)

#3. From a previous Fun Monday (Treasures):

Always needs lovin’ – needy bear! 😀

#4. From another previous Fun Monday:

what, me stressed? You’re kidding?! 😛

#5. From post Creativity a-gogo:

See my banner? link me.
(okay, so that last one’s just blatant advertising. But, I forgot I made that graphic… 😀 )

It’s kind of funny to look back through these posts again. I hope you’ve enjoyed this trip down memory lane with me. Or, if you can think up a better slogan or have another comment, do entertain me. (dusts off where you insert comments just in case someone feels like sharing). *hint, hint* hehe If not, well maybe you can find something you do like amongst the Fun Monday participants.
Happy Monday! (I hope it will be, anyway)

Fun Monday – 12.3

“The Post Above The Most”

oh.emm.gee…I almost forgot, it’s time for another Fun Monday! 🙂

Fun Monday – 12/3
Hostess: Robinella
Topic: In honor of exhaustion, color and self-love, I present you with this week’s assignment. I want you to dig through your blog files and show us your best effort. Why you consider it your best is up to you. C’mon, you know you have a favorite – show it to me one more time.

I’m asked about what has been my most meaningful journal entry. I immediately thought: “What? Only one? But, they’re all my best efforts! Well, most of them. *wry grin*” And, then when my ego calmed down, I got to work to combing through them all to find “the one”. 😉

I received the most surprising response from a small entry called “Chris Baker, where art thou?“. It’s in regards to a local radio personality, and in all honesty, I just blogged about it because I’d been wondering what happened, and not for notoriety. Since then, I’ve had many click-thru’s of people looking for more information. Wow! Looking back at it, I see the heart I put into it and it makes me smile.

An entry I really treasure is one that got me writing again (besides the NaBloPoMo “thang”), namely Exercising my poetic license. Once the creativity started to flow, I had so much fun coming up with limericks, which is obvious to see in how many I did. Upon reading them again, I have a wide range of emotions, from smiling to giggling, to “oh, my”. 😀

And,finally, one entry that still touches my heart involves my feelings about another local celebrity and his passing. It’s called “In Remembrance of Marvin Zindler” I look back at this entry and it triggers other memories of people I’ve lost that I’ve known and some I’ve only “cybermet”. Sometimes, I can’t even handle looking at this entry, as I’m not sure if I can handle what memories may flood my brain.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this small trip down my blog lane with me. If you’d like to see more of my entries, click my randomizer on the left side. Even I do it occasionally just to see what will turn up. LOL

And, if you’d like to see more meaningful entries, please go visit the other Fun Monday participants. And, feel free to comment here, too! 🙂

Fun Monday – 8.14

Guess what time it is…yep, another wacky and crazy Fun Monday! *applause*

This week our hostess comes from the same blog host as my own blog site…ooooh, special, eh. So, let’s take a trip, and get to know each other across the web. 😀

Fun Monday – 8/14
Hostess – Beckie / Give it a Try – One Day at a Time
Topic – …what your favorite treat is.  Is it sweet or sour?  Is it plain or salty?  Is it candy or chocolate?  Is it homemade or store bought?  For instance, if your favorite is chocolate, tell us what kind specifically – sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes not so much.  … It can be anything, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream or chips, maybe you have more than one favorite – that is ok, just show us your favorite(s) and tell us why you like it so much.  C’mon, what gets you all juiced up?

Favorite treats, eh. Oh, much like Lay’s potato chips, how I can not have just one! I’m imagining Julie Andrews singing “My Favorite Things”, with myself singing along, of course.
One of my favorite snacks is eating sunflower seeds…and not just any seeds…

Though I have sampled other flavors (particularly pumpkin seeds), I like them “original, salted, and in the shell”. I vary between being a Casual an an All-Star seeder, for I do pop several seeds in my mouth, de-shell the delectable seed within, and spit out the shells. But, unlike many baseball players, who like to spit them out everywhere, I have a handy cup, of which I purchased from David seeds, of course. 😉

For a favorite candy, I’d have to include 3 Musketeers chocolate bar. As far as low-fat and chocolate go together, this bar is a happy medium for chocoholics, though I admit I’ve eaten them for years (before I really cared about calories).

Admittedly, I’ve not tried the mint flavor as of yet (it’s brand new), but I look forward to it almost as much as I looked forward to the last Harry Potter book (which was pretty good, by the way *grin*).

Of course, that’s not all I like. However, hat’s all for the moment. We’ll save more for another entry.

Oh, and if you’d like to see more lovely treats, please go visit the other Fun Monday participants. And, feel free to comment here, too! 🙂

Fried Eggs, anyone?

Another hot day has passed, for better or worse. I woke up in a so-so mood, and it’s been a roller coaster ride of emotions all day.  I blame the weather (just because). I thought about frying eggs, but didn’t want to waste them. And, then I thought of making sun tea, but no tea bags available. Instead, I watched the Astros lose again, which so helped my mood (not!). Crabapples!! (actually, I’ve been thinking something stronger…my darn moodiness sure can bring out the worst in me.) 😉

Anyway…

Another Fun Monday has already arrived for a part of the world, and there are interesting looking aprons out there – they’re @ ChrisB’s blog. Although, I’m still waiting to see Willowtree model his in his skivvies. *maniacal drooling grin* Where’s my own apron? I’ve no picture, so I have to describe one of them: red corduroy with a blue bandana trim (sort of country-looking, like a Texas stereotype). Only problem is I forget to where it while cooking, which kind of defeats the purpose (although it stays looking pretty that way). Oh well.

In other news, my blogging “Elvis” friend Nikki has a spiffy new place. All together now…(said like watching fireworks) “ooooooo….ahhhh….ohhhhhhhh.”

In still other news, I’ve come up with a signature graphic, but I’m not sure quite how to use it at the moment. Maybe I’ll figure it out before the next entry. “It could happen.”

Any good news out there? Feel free to leave some in the comments. We could all use it occasionally.
